acne can be over

Thursday, February 15th, 2007

Hello all,
i’ve had acne since high school and i’m now 31 and still had problems
until recently. We all know that the products they sell only takes
care of the outside of the skin but it does not prevent them from
coming. I recently started taking B-5 supplements with each meal that
I eat and I have not had any more breakouts. I started eating really
fatty foods that i know previuously broke me out and it doesn’t
anymore. I almost want to sue my doctors for all the pain and
emotional scarring i had to suffer when all my body needed was a pill
to help break down the foods that i eat and regulate my hormones. I
hope this message is read by others suffering. Please try them and I
hope u get the same results. I take 2 250mg pills with each pill and
no more than 1000mg daily.

Curing acne from the inside

I agree that exercise helps. The reason is that it makes your body
more sensitive to insulin, so it lowers circulating insulin levels,
thus reducing testosterone and thus reducing oil production. It
works even better if you also avoid high-glycemic carbohydrates like
breads, rice, potatoes, and sugar.

Question on the "purging period"

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

I recently began using Proactive and my skin seemed to be getting
better for a couple of days and then it took a turn for the worst. I’ve
been told that this is because of the so called "purging period" where
the product brings all the skins impurities to the surface. Is there
truth to this and is there anyway to speed up this period? I’d
appreciate any input.

Thank you much,
Sarah

Why don’t you try working out. I just tried this and it works for
me. My face sweat as much as the other parts of my body. Therefore
it flushes out all those nasty stuffs. Give it a try too.

Hi,
There’s great website that helped make my daughter an educated decision on
which product to use. It’s called www.skincarereviews.net

Curing acne from the inside

hi mason,
can u plz send me that e-book u were talking about.

Acne is not the mystery that many make it out to be. There are 4 known
proximate causes:

1. pore blockage
2. excessive oil production
3. bacterial colonization
4. inflammation

If you prevent these things from happening, you prevent acne.

To prevent excess oil production, the main thing you need to do is keep
your insulin levels low. High insulin causes increase in androgen

Proactive?

Does it has any effect on clearing up scars?

Well, I tried the African Black Soap for about 3 weeks and I found
that it dried out my skin - I started to break out in a rash. So I
stopped it and I tried Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser (my
sister was using it so I tried some) and it cleared up the rash in a
few days.

The funny thing is, I’ve been using the Aveeno and the Proactive
Repairing lotion together (just thought I’d try it) and so far it’s
worked well for me. I still get occasional breakouts (especially as
"that time of the month" approaches), but it clears up in a few days.
So far, I’ve been pleased.

I’m middle age male and also using Proactiv with other products. I’ve had good
success with 10% clearasil followed by the repairing lotion in order to prevent
the "pasty" look and to add a tiny bit of moisturizer. Any other moisturizer,
"oil-free" or not causes breakouts and increases sagging in skin. I’m especially
pleased with the Proactiv cleanser. Seems to resurface skin after each use.
Benzoyl Peroxide tightens skin in addition to decreasing breakouts. Ed
