My findings and a question of my own
I do not have bad acne like some, just some on my chin and middle of
my forhead that has gotten better after using proactive and with
birth control and age. I am 23 now and i still break out but it
mostly has to do with my time of the month. I used to be able to
just put on the step three only at night and be fine, not break out.
Step three of proactive should be sold seperately! its a miracle
worker.
I know this sounds really basic but I keep all and any scents away
from my skin at all times. I use everything for sensetive or hypo
allergenic, or unscented at all times. They work better than the
products for oily skin. keeping purfumes away from even my hands and
wrists helps. I use dial soap on my hands with helps keep them scent
free and not oily. I know this sounds so basic but when i stopped
using scented products at all levels… including starting to use
All free clear detergent. I started seeing a dramtic reduction in my
cystic pimples and no breakouts on my back or shoulders.
I use chanel foundation. I am too poor as a college student to shop
around to figure it out, but its the only thing that hasn’t made me
break out.
I use hydrogen peroxide. If I have a pimple that pops or that is at
a very white head point… i dab some directly on the pimple. It
gets into the pimple and kills bacteria and helps it heal quickly.
same principal as for a cut. Do not do an all over application, but
I find dabbing a bit on with a Q tip and holding it on for a few
seconds it helps, it dramatically reduces the bump and after it has
gotten in there and worked… it reduces redness.
Now I have a question. Many have said the at home microderm abrasion
makes them breakout and these are women without acne! Is there any
system anyone has tried that has worked well for them? I am just
thinking using my current cleanser acne free with a tool. Has anyone
tried that? I am thinking that it might reduce some redness on my
chin, honestly if i got rid of that between my periods i might not
have to wear makeup and that would help me avoid pimples even more!
I have read some posts about this but none really speak to other
options or other brands. I really appreciate this advice! Thanks so
much ladies!
