My Personal Experience with Acne Cures….

Hi Alison

A year ago I received my master’s degree in human nutrition and
exercise science. The dogma about diet and acne for the past 30
years has been that there is no connection, and this is what most
dermatologists and other physicians believe. But there is about to
be a paradigm shift. A study was conducted in Australia last year
which showed that eating a low glycemic diet can have a dramatic
effect on diet. It has been published only in abstract form so far,
but the full study should be published in a prominent journal by
this spring.

The other dietary factor that is now known to influence acne is
wheat germ agglutin (WGA). This is found in white flour, but even
more prominently in "wholesome" whole grains. WGA can enter

circulation through the epidermal growth factor receptor in the gut,
where it can then wreak its havoc. It binds to an inhibits an
enzyme called ZAG that normally dissolves the connections between
skin cells so they can naturally flake off, and it causes excess
growth of keratinocytes (early skin cells). Both of these factors
thus lead to pore blockage.

Best regards,
