Acne Camouflage Techniques and Tips

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

I copied and pasted this paragraph which was interesting because of the last
sentence. I always vigorously scrub my face with a washcloth! Maybe that is
why my acne is getting worse! I’ll try it without the washcloth although the
pores on my nose need to be scrubbed because they are large and clog very
easily. I’ll post my results.

"Exfoliation is Key. An artist needs a clean canvas, and so do you. In order
to maximize the effects of makeup and minimize the risk of further
breakouts, your face needs to be clean and smooth. After washing with a
gentle cleanser, apply a warm mask with alpha hydroxy to attain proper
exfoliation. Never scrub the skin if active acne is apparent, as it will
stimulate the oil glands and make acne worse."

Green Smoothie for Clear, Beautiful Skin and a Healthy Body!

Monday, March 26th, 2007

"Here’s the Recipe:

6 oz apple juice or water
1 banana
1 mango (or papaya)
1 chopped up apple
6 leaves of kale (lacinato, curly, or purple curly). Eventually you
can add other green leafy veggies like dandelion greens, red swiss
chard, and green chard"

Doesn’t all this apple juice give you diarrhea? This seems pretty high in
sugar but then you say to avoid sugar. ???

Green Smoothie for Clear, Beautiful Skin and a Healthy Body!

Sunday, March 25th, 2007

well hello there-

I am a little curious about this recipe. Does it work for people with cystic
acne? My case is not the most severe of cases, but without constant
maintenance…well, lets just say that things can get pretty ugly. Have you
heard about this working for people with acne such as mine?

Kristen

I have FINALLY found my personal acne cure and would like to share
it with you. I have tried 3 types of antibiotics, countless creams
and lotions and masks, herbal remedies and teas, and diet changes.
But…all of those thing combined are less effective than the green
smoothie I’ve been drinking for 8 months! My skin is now crystal
clear and even! Below, I discuss the benefits of the green

Acne and skin challenges

Sunday, March 25th, 2007

The one thing that people overlook,(especially men)is their skin. The
skin is the largest organ on the body and many treat it like a cheap
suit. Putting anything on it. Please, before you use anything,
research it. If anyone is suffering from skin problems first consult a
dermatologist. However, if you want cleaner fresher skin and to reduce
the cycle of aging let’s talk. I don’t want to appear to be spamming
or sell anything, but I would like to help anyone who is in jeopardy
of having some problems with their skin. The last thing anyone should
ever have to worry about is looking like a dried out orange or a prune.
Whatever you do please take care of yourself. Write me.

Yes, get rid of the omega 3/6/9 and use only omega 3, preferably
fish oil. Flax oil is an 18-carbon omega 3 fat, but needs to be
elongated in the body to 22 carbons in length. Unfortunately, our
bodies are very inefficient at that and only about 3% is converted.

The only risk with the drink is that fruit juice can cause a higher
insulin response than just eating fruit. You may want to leave out
the pineapple juice… But of bigger importance here is avoiding
sugar, dairy, and bread and other grains. If you follow this type
of diet strictly for 4-6 weeks, you should see dramatic improvement.

My Personal Experience with Acne Cures….

Saturday, March 24th, 2007

Hi Alison

A year ago I received my master’s degree in human nutrition and
exercise science. The dogma about diet and acne for the past 30
years has been that there is no connection, and this is what most
dermatologists and other physicians believe. But there is about to
be a paradigm shift. A study was conducted in Australia last year
which showed that eating a low glycemic diet can have a dramatic
effect on diet. It has been published only in abstract form so far,
but the full study should be published in a prominent journal by
this spring.

The other dietary factor that is now known to influence acne is
wheat germ agglutin (WGA). This is found in white flour, but even
more prominently in "wholesome" whole grains. WGA can enter

Free course on acne?

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

Hi everybody,

In my searches online I found a site that is giving out a free course
on Acne. I signed up, and so far it seems good. I’ve only gotten the
first part of the course, so I don’t know how the rest will go.

Just thought I’d pass it on to everybody in case they’re interested.

Have a good one,

Ari

My findings and a question of my own

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

I do not have bad acne like some, just some on my chin and middle of
my forhead that has gotten better after using proactive and with
birth control and age. I am 23 now and i still break out but it
mostly has to do with my time of the month. I used to be able to
just put on the step three only at night and be fine, not break out.
Step three of proactive should be sold seperately! its a miracle
worker.

I know this sounds really basic but I keep all and any scents away
from my skin at all times. I use everything for sensetive or hypo
allergenic, or unscented at all times. They work better than the
products for oily skin. keeping purfumes away from even my hands and
wrists helps. I use dial soap on my hands with helps keep them scent
free and not oily. I know this sounds so basic but when i stopped
using scented products at all levels… including starting to use
