mosturiser

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

That’s right, independently of your skin type, it is recommended that
you always use a skin moisturizer. Now, depending on your skin you may
use a traditional face moisturizer, but there are other products that
can be used to keep your facial skin moist, such anti aging creams,
ultra-light oil free sunscreens and even some after shave balms are
great to moisturize as long as these are alcohol free and contain aloe
or other natural moisturizers.

Since you have oily skin, you should try finding an oil free
moisturizer for sure. The pores on your type of skin tend to clog,
leading to breakouts. Always keep your skin clean by washing your face
twice a day, maybe in the morning and at night with a Glycolic Acid
cleanser to smooth, soften and renew your skin. Try to stay unexposed
to the sun so that your skin does not trigger its natural oil
production and keep the oils and fats in your diet as low as possible.

Simple Steps For Controlling High Blood Pressure Effectively

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

High blood pressure, or the hypertension, as it is commonly named, is a
condition that can affect us without even knowing its specific symptoms,
because there are none. The silent killer can be controlled with the
proper medicated treatment and by following the doctor advises. The
first thing you have to do after you have been diagnosed with
hypertension, is to be aware and to learn how to live with it, because
the faster you take some measures, the faster you can stop it from
threatening your life.

mosturiser

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

Hi all,

I’ve been told that no matter what our skin condition is, we still need
to use a mosturiser after a face wash. Mine is an oily one, that’s why
i’m not so keen on it before. Been told too to use a gel-based one.
Anyone with experience on this & which type of brand suited you the
best?

Mederma for Acne Scars

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Millie & All:

I think it is *extremely* important for the Acne Support Group to
"check-out" acne products research and their efficacy. There are many
ways to conduct clinical research that benefits the companies marketing
efforts more than the consumer.

I reviewed the research that Mederma is based on:

Clinical study with Mederma on rabbits -

Primary ingredient in Mederma -

Critical information to read associated with Mederma’s clinical study:

Regular foods help cure acne

Scientifically, it’s not proven that choc cause acne. But the easiest
way to know is to stay away from it yourself & see if there’s any
result. What have you got to loose?

How about chocolate? Do you have any problems with it? My brother
gives up to eat it because he said that whenever he takes chocolate, on
the next day, he gonna have a zits.

I tried the neutrogena and it did nothing for my scars. My face did
feel smoother though.

Mederma for Acne Scars

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

Keep in mind you have to follow the directions which states that you need to
put it on about 3 or 4 times a day. My face is so oily it seemed to come off
easily but I’m sure it would be good for scars on the body. I never did use
it for a great amount of time so I didn’t see the results. Also, I believe
you need to stay out of the sun when using it on your face.

Millie,
My sister used it and had great results. It took a couple weeks to see
results but it did work. Most faded into nothing and the really bad ones got
really lighter. Walgreens has a brand of the same thing. That is what she
used not the Mederma brand name.

Can I prevent Acne ????

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Contrary to what you may have heard, acne is not caused by dirty skin,
eating chocolate, or drinking lots of soda. Acne is caused by overactive
oil glands in the skin and an accumulation of oil, dead skin cells, and
bacteria, which leads to inflammation in pores. Oil glands become
stimulated when hormones become active during puberty, which is why
people are likely to get acne in their teens. Because the tendency to
develop acne is partly genetic, if other people in your family had (or
have) acne, you may be more likely to develop it too.

Although there is no surefire way to prevent acne, there are several
ways to help reduce the number and severity of your breakouts.
Washing your skin is essential (it helps remove excess surface oils and
dead skin cells that can clog your pores), but washing too much can
actually cause damage by overdrying your skin or irritating existing
acne. Remember to wash after exercising because sweat can clog your

I was wondering if it really takes 3 months for Mederma to start
clearing up scars. Has anyone used this before to treat acne scars?

Thanks!
