Omega Fish Oils?

Thursday, June 21st, 2007

I read somewhere that omega 3 fish oils can help with the skin.
However I have been taking them for nearly two months now and my skin
has got so much worse. I realise it might have got worse before it got
better but not for this long.
Has anybody else tried this? Im not sure whether to try it for another
month or so.

Is Your Diet Related To Your Acne Condition?

Wednesday, June 20th, 2007

<P>There is a saying that "what you are, is what you eat!"<BR>
Whether this maxim is also true in the case of acne has<BR>
been a topic, which has been under rigorous research. Some<BR>
people believe that certain foods cause acne while others<BR>
think otherwise. However, it is very much possible that<BR>
acne could result from food allergies in some cases.

<P>The truth is that the skin acts as an excretory organ for<BR>
the human body. Waste products like water and oil are<BR>
excreted from the body through the skin. When you eat a<BR>
food that you are allergic to, a toxic reaction occurs and<BR>
leads the immune system of your body to set up defenses<BR>
against it. Thereafter, the body starts expelling out the<BR>
toxins from the food; leading to inflammation on the skin<BR>
in the form of papules and pustules.

Hello Bonnie,

You are so right about iodine. Remember that much salt also has
iodine added to it.

My diet isn’t nearly "SO DARN HARD". I simply stopped taking multi-
vitamins and using iodized salt. I gave kelp a chance many, many
years ago. My worst mistakes ever.

I still have all the dairy, caffeine and fried foods that I want.
Fish and shellfish is only a problem if I have it for a few days in
a row.

Also, be forwarned that many restaurants and fast food places may
use iodized salt in their dishes and on their french fries and their

Mineral Makeup

Bonnie & All:

I suppose, if make up has to be worn, your skin benefits from higher
quality natural products.

However, make up, based on its intended purpose (cover up), tends to
clog or cover up skin pores.

If you have to wear make up, I suggest you only ware it for brief
periods of time and keep your skin pores open, clean, and at a good PH.

Bonnie & All:

The absence of dairy, caffeine and fried foods may have assisted in your
overall health, however, I think exercise, water flushing, quality food
selection, and supplements probably had more to do with reducing your
acne. There really is little scientific evidence between "junk foods"
and acne. However, food allergies can certainly effect body and skin health.

Mineral Makeup

Hi everyone,

I have to back Alias up and say that Eminence Organics
is the best product out there. My esthetician sells it
as well and I have had nothing but incredible results
from it. The paprika mask is wonderful: it tightens
your pores, wakes up your skin, and helps fight acne.
They even sell a sulfur whip mosturizer to help combat
acne.

I use bare minerals makeup by bare essentials. You can
buy it at www.sephora.com. This makeup is amazing. It
covers nicely, has 25 SPF and you can barely tell it’s
there–just remember to wash your brush regularly.
Colorescience sells a wonderful mineral makeup as
