Benzoyl Peroxide vs. Salicyclic Acid for rapid treatment

They both work differently so it depends on your skin type and if you have
sensitive skin. I have very oily skin but it’s also sensitive so Sal. Acid
doesn’t do much for me but make my skin blotchy. Ben. Peroxide if more
drying but if you can find a good formula it may not be as drying.
Personally I don’t use Sal. Acid or anything with any kind of acid (Glycolic
Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, etc…) even though it is the “big thing” right
now. Have you tried Proactive? Some products with Ben. Peroxide have a lower
amount of it than others so always read the ingredients.

I haven’t had any luck with Sal. Acid meds getting rid of my acne in a few
days but it may just be my skin sensitivity that is the problem. Anyway,
Good Luck!!!

I have two different "on the spot" creams that you’re supposed to put
right on a pimple when you see it, that are both designed to cure it
within twelve to twenty-four hours.

But, one’s active ingredient is 2% salicylic acid, and the other’s is
benzoyl peroxide. (Also, my face wash (and every OTC acne facewash
I’ve seen)’s active ingredient is 2% salicylic acid, which seems
significant… somehow… lol.)

But, my question is, which one will be more effective?

Thanks so much for your help. :)
